5 (Very Yummy) Ingredients Put To Good Use

Recently my mom asked me to make some goodies for a priest who is overseas.  As well as praying for him we thought we would send him a little homemade cheer.  Hope these do the trick. :D  Also today is BAP's feast day....what a perfect treat for a feast day celebration.  (If I don't make this first!)

Chocolate Chunk Shortbread Cookies
adapted from: http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Chocolate-Chunk-Shortbread

3/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
3oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
(I ground up about 1/2 cup chocolate chips) - mini chocolate chips would probably work well

Preheat oven to 300.  Cream together butter and sugar.  Slowly add flour and cornstarch.  Stir in the chocolate.  Shape into 1-inch balls.  Place on greased/silpat-lined cookie sheets.  Flatten.  Bake for 25-30minutes.  Remove to racks to cool completely.
