Oh For The Joy Of Yeast & Flour (And Butter)

Oh how I love making bread, rolls, etc. Anything with yeast for that matter. The other night Mom asked me to bring some rolls for dinner...I jumped at the chance. I love working with yeast, flour and the whole kitchen for that matter (why else did I start this blog?!).

Parker House Rolls (aka Spider Man rolls by BAP - since Spiderman is Peter Parker, hmm)

2 cups milk, warmed
1/2 cup sugar
1 T yeast
1 egg
1 cup butter, softened (used salted)*
2 t salt (omitted because of salted butter)
6-8 cups flour

Dissolve yeast in milk and sugar in large mixing bowl. Add egg and 1/2 butter. Mix in flour until combined fully and dough pulls away from side of bowl. Let rise until doubled. Roll out onto floured counter. Cut into biscuits. Brush/Dip in remaining butter (which you have melted). Fold in half. Let rise again for 30minutes. Place on parchment lined cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for about 15-20minutes. Serve warm.

*Half of butter needs to be softened and the other half melted
