Our favorite dressing for salad and dipping is Ranch. I have come up with my own recipe over the years. However this recipe knocked it out of the park. It is perfect. This recipe is for a couple friends' of ours (today is their anniversary).
Buttermilk Herb Dressing

1 cup buttermilk (1 cup milk plus 1 t white vinegar)
1 1/2 cups mayo
2 t dried chives
2 t minced garlic
2 t salt
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t onion powder
1/2 t pepper
1/8 t dried dill
Mix all ingredients together and let flavors meld together for at least a couple hours. I used an old ketchup bottle, for ease and convenience. Shake before using. Store in the fridge. Enjoy.
