Cheesy Goodness

If you don't like cheese, you may not like this recipe.  However at our house we are just cheese fiends. We love the stuff.  We have found that it breaks our budget; so we are not buying it as much anymore.  Everything and anything is made so much better with cheese.  We love cheese bread; awesomeness.

Garlic Cheese Quick Bread
adapted from: http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/Garlic-Cheese-Quick-Bread

3 cups self-rising flour (or 3 cups flour PLUS 4 t baking powder & 1/2 t salt)
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (I just cubed into SMALL squares)
1/4 cup sugar
1 t garlic powder 1/4 t black pepper (my addition)
1 1/2 cups milk (used part 1/2-n-1/2)
1/4 cup oil
1 egg

Combine all ingredients in a bowl; thoroughly combining.  Dump into a greased loaf pan.  This loaf will not look like a traditional loaf - more like biscuit batter. Bake at 350 for 55-66minutes (until knife comes out clean).  Cool 10 minutes in pan.  Remove to cooling rack.
