Scrumptious Traditions
As a kid, I remember making cookies with my mom. Every year during Advent, each child (there was 9 of us) would have a turn making our favorite cookie with Mom in the kitchen. After sampling our handiwork, we would save a couple dozen or so of each kind made, freeze them, pull them out on Christmas, and then for dessert on Christmas night we would have a large assortment of cookies from which to pick. I hope to do the same with my children, as they grow older. Even though the boys are still quite little, I hope to get them involved a little bit this year (even if it means they only get to lick the bowl clean). Over the next several weeks leading up to Christmas (and then the 12 days after), I hope to post various childhood favorites. I love making sweet treats of all types. Thank you for the Scrumptious Traditions, Mom!
