Fall Smells Wonderful

With Fall in the air, food simmering in the crock pot is so comforting. I love using my crock pot especially this time of the year. With the smells drifting throughout the house all day long, we cannot wait for dinner time to come. BAP loved the mashed potatoes. SSP ate/tried everything (as usual). Husband loved
it. Since we were all filled up with candy from All Hallows' Eve, we did not go for seconds (maybe next time). Leftovers will be great for lunch today.

1 1/2 lbs boneless round steak (cut into 5 servings total)
1 large onion, sliced
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
2 1/2 - 3 cups beef gravy

Sear meat in pan. Place in greased crock pot. Top with onions and mushrooms. Pour gravy over all. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours (or high 4-5 hours). Serve over piping hot homemade mashed potatoes.
