Breakfast Is Served (With Lots of Butter & Syrup)

We like waffles; how 'bout you?!  In general husband and I love HOT breakfasts over a cold bowl of cereal any day.  BAP and SSP could care less.  However when I made these waffles it was a different story.

Whole Grain Waffles
adapted from:

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup wheat germ
2 T flaxseed meal
2 t baking powder
2 T sugar
1/2 t salt
1 1/2 cups milk
1/3 cup oil
1 egg
1 t vanilla

Combine all dry ingredients together in a large bowl.  Mix in wet ingredients.  Stir until fairly smooth (some lumps are okay).   Cook in waffle iron according to directions.  Enjoy with maple syrup and butter.  I put butter and raspberry jam on mine; it was divine!
